Key Cost Drivers & Details

Compliance Standards: Cleaners must follow OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (annual training and proper PPE) and comply with HIPAA privacy rules, which often require signing a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) and training staff to protect patient confidentiality.
Specialized Disinfectants: Use of EPA-registered, hospital-grade disinfectants capable of killing pathogens like MRSA and C. diff, rather than standard commercial surface cleaners.
Advanced Equipment: Usage of HEPA-filtered vacuums, color-coded microfiber cloth systems (to stop cross-contamination between waiting rooms and clinical zones), and sometimes electrostatic sprayers.
Additional Services: Regulated medical waste handling (sharps containers) and biohazard disposal usually add extra fees per container or customized line items in the contract
